Trout Lake Medicine
Wheel Garden
About the Garden

Community Garden Roots, Cedar Cottage Food Network and Lu’ma Medical are co-creating a vision for the expansion of the existing Medicine Wheel Garden at John Hendry (Trout Lake) Park.
We look forward to engaging Indigenous Educators, knowledge keepers, and partners to co-create a vision of this sacred space and educational site. This project envisions a culturally-oriented garden, connecting the community to Indigenous foods and medicines.
Join us for ongoing seasonal workshops focusing on hands-on medicine making, permaculture, land stewardship, medicine wheel teachings, and more!
The Medicine Wheel Garden at Trout Lake is a sacred space and educational site, growing Indigenous foods and medicines. It is located on the western side of Trout Lake in John Hendry Park on the ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil Waututh) Nations.
Seasonal workshops facilitated by Indigenous Educators are held at this culturally oriented garden, focusing on hands-on medicine-making practices, permaculture, land-stewarding, Medicine Wheel teachings, and more!
