QE Meadows Garden Renovation

It’s official — the Queen Elizabeth Meadows Garden has been transformed!

We are so thrilled to share that the QE Meadows Garden in Whalley has completed a full renovation, growing from a 25-bed garden into a brand-new 40-bed accessible raised garden space for the City Centre community.

This incredible upgrade was made possible through our ongoing partnership with the City of Surrey, and we are so grateful for all the hard work and dedication they brought to making this vision a reality. From gathering community feedback last September to seeing the finished space — it has been such a rewarding journey.

The garden has already filled up for the season, and we could not be more excited to see what this community of gardeners grows in this new and improved space. Here’s to fresh soil, new beginnings, and a garden built for everyone.

Thank you to the City of Surrey and to every gardener who shared their voice in making this happen! Community Garden Roots looks forward to another season of coordinating QE Meadows Garden.
